IILN recently planned and organized a ScreenShare fundraiser with the objective of facilitating screenings within localities and schools that are visited and inhabited by children from underserved communities with distinct learning differences. Consequently, post the ScreenShare fundraiser having raised INR 1,00,000 -- IILN conducted screenings at the Hamari Pahchan NGO School in order to bridge the gap, and create further accessibility to inclusive education models and pedagogy within disadvantaged communities.
IILN designed and facilitated Training of Trainers (ToT) workshops with teachers and educators, with the objective of familiarising them with the contents, the pedagogical approaches and the theoretical underpinnings of the Pre-Screen manual. This was done with the intention of enabling the educators to engage with these issues in a manner that is not only well-informed, but also sensitive and supportive.
IILN also conducted Teen Screen Camps as part of the post-ScreenShare fundraiser campaign, wherein students were assessed and surveyed for Specific Learning Differences (SPLDs) and determined their learning goals, needs and approaches to enact methodologies to accommodate their learning styles. Following the ScreenPlay Workshops, the educators at Hamari Pahchan were also surveyed to better understand their perceived preparedness to support with the SPLDs that were discovered during the Teen-Screen Camps.
